A1 Kaikoura Motels & Holiday Park completed a major renovation and upgrade in 2022, with improvements carried out from June through to the end of November to ensure an even more comfortable and enjoyable stay for our guests.

Famous for its fresh crayfish, spectacular marine life and unforgettable wildlife encounters, Kaikoura is one of the best places in New Zealand for whale watching and swimming with dolphins.
Located midway between Christchurch and Picton on the east coast of the South Island, Kaikoura sits between the ocean and the rugged Southern Alps. It is an easy two-hour drive north of Christchurch, making it a perfect day trip or a relaxing stopover on the way to Marlborough.
